Christopher Yancey Obituary

CHRISTOPHER NICHOLAS YANCEY, was born March 5, 2003 in Baltimore City to Christopher E. Yancey and Anita N. Jones. Chris made his departure on March 16, 2024.

Chris received his early education at Collington Square Elementary/ Middle, where he was very brilliant and received straight A's. If Chris wasn't in his school work, he would play any sport that he could from football to soccer, but as time went on, Chris fell in love with basketball. During his time with basketball he learned what it meant to be a team player, how to lead a team and he took that knowledge and used it throughout his life. By his 8th grade year Chris won his first Basketball Championship, which led him to his acceptance into Mervo High School where he received his High School Diploma.

Chris loved to have a great time. He would smoke and party like it was his last. Chris loved to spend time with his daughter, siblings, family and friends. Rather it was playing the game with Mike, taking walks with his daughter or smoking with Tina but his time with his siblings and cousins is what kept him going everyday.

Chris was very outspoken. He would say what's on his mind no matter what anybody had to say and didn't care after. Chris was a natural born protector. If he loved you he was going to protect you by any means. Chris shared so many memories with so many people and cherished everyone of them good and bad. He loved everyone close to him to death. Throughout Chris life he was very loyal and devoted to friends and family members.

Chris had many challenges in life including a heart condition. But even through his hardest times he showed up and showed out to be his best self. Chris had two goals in life which was to make money and take care of his daughter and siblings; and he did just that. Chris left us with so many plans with starting his entrepreneurship with different businesses to pass down to the next. Although Chris life was cut short if you would have asked him he would say "I Lived It To The Fullest With No Regrets."

Chris was preceded in death by his father Christopher E. Yancey, uncle Michael Davis, cousins, Victor and Jaquan and best friends Deontay and Shakai.

Chris leaves to mourn his mother Anita Jones; daughter, Nayture; godson, Dae'Jon; sisters, Tykiara, Kristain, Kyle, and Kendal Chris; brothers, Keyshawn, Ke'Andre, Marquise, Tysean and Michael; aunts, Miranda, Makeea, Mia and Ty'Zaiah; uncles, Derrick, Damon, Vernon and Paul Ray; grandmothers, Christine, Georgianna and Dellaree; grandfathers, Isaiah and James; niece, Kirsten and nephews, Ja'Kai and Zamir; best friend, Ja'Nyia; godparents and a host of family and friends.
