JOSEPH CURBEAM JR., son of the late Joe Daniel Curbeam and Fannie Mae (Brown) Curbeam, was born on May 7, 1934 in Chester S C. He was the middle child of three siblings born of this union, Ida Mae (Curbeam) Murphy and Sylvester Curbeam (Bay) both preceded him in death.
Joseph accepted the LORD as his personal savior many years ago, acknowledged that if it's GOD's will, all things are possible. Joseph fought a good kept the faith and trusted the LORD until the end, he never complained.
Jesus said and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you will be also.
On Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at approximately 11:45am, God sent his angel of death to dose the petal of a flower named Joseph Curbeam Jr., it was time for him to come home, to a place prepared for him.
Joseph was educated in the Baltimore City Public System; he attended Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. On November 6, 1954, Joseph were joined in holy wedlock to the late Bernice Delores (Gardner) Curbeam, from this union one son Larry Curbeam and two daughters, LaVerne Curbeam and Lorraine Curbeam were born. Joseph was employed by the Dorman Electric Supply Co., for 45 years, he was a diligent and faithfully employee, he happily retired in 2003. He looked forward to coming home to a home cooked meal and a nice cold drink prepared for him by his loving wife...Not forgetting the sweet potatoe pies, bread pudding, cakes and many other dishes he prepared for the family, delicious...he was a great cook, he also enjoyed watching sports and his favorite teams were the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
