Renita Chiffon Stokes was born on November 13, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Henry Stokes and the late Gladys Ann Stokes. On March 22,2024, God found in his infinite wisdom to call Renita home to eternal rest after a battle with Leukemia. Renita fought a good fight and always kept her faith and never gave up hope.
Renita was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Her son and grandson were the joys of her life. Renita was genuinely loved by everyone who knew her. She had such a quiet, calm, and kind spirit. She loved life. Renita had a beautiful smile and a heart to match.
She enjoyed gatherings with her family and friends, shopping, listening to oldies but goodies and strolling down memory lane. Watching her favorite TV shows while talking with her sister Donna was another pastime she enjoyed. Renita forged several lasting friendships.
Renita was a member of the Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Reginald Thomas Sr.
She received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools.
Renita spent the last 30 years working in property management as either a Property Manager or Assistant Property Management. She loved working with her current co-workers and often referenced them as her work family.
Preceding Renita in eternal rest are her parents William H Stokes and Gladys Stokes, brothers; Randy Stokes and Samuel Hall, sisters: Donna Stokes, and LaTonia Stokes.
Renita precious memories will live on in the hearts of, her son Bobby Thomas Jr, grandson Emilio Thomas- Green. Brothers; Kevin Stokes (Margaret), Reggie Stokes, Darnell Stokes (Denita), Damond Stokes, Corey Stokes, and Rodney Stokes. Sister's: Tawana Brown (Ronnie), Veronica Brooks (Albert) Her lifetime love Bobby Thomas Sr., a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Renita will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
